From the Columbia Journalism Review: GOOD Magazine recently laid off almost all of their editorial staff, “as part of a a move from being a journalism-focused outlet to a community engagement platform.”
Megan Greenwell, former managing editor at GOOD told CJR: “They said they wanted to be a Reddit for social good.”
Six of GOOD’s nine-person editorial staff were laid off, and two others were offered and accepted buyouts.
But…Reddit does lots of social good, non?
