Most snatched babies are well cared for,” says Dr. Phillip Resnick, director of forensic psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. Women like Ann Pettway, who was sentenced this week to 12 years in prison for kidnapping infant Carlina White 25 years ago, are simply blinded by narcissism—and a total lack of empathy.
