Conflicting information here. Did the shooter, or did he not, fire upon NYPD officers? That is the question of the moment. Either way, the officers shot him dead—and reportedly hit a few other bystanders in the process. The story’s still fluid, obviously, but this illustrates nobody’s really sure who shot at who. What we do know, however, is that two are dead as a result of this morning’s violence.
