Newsweek, you just pointed to ‘Comments’ on the internet as sides to an argument. Really? Journalism called, Your license has been suspended. Indefinitely
See, we disagree. Because that Observer piece, clearly, did not, um, capture the story adequately; clearly, there was more there there. And before the Web, a paper might have run that exact same story, and maybe some people would have disputed that account to their friends, or even written a letter to the editor that would have been published and ignored a week later. This brings a new level of feedback and accountability to the system, which we think can only help journalism.
