Kathryn Bigelow’s Speech: Ready, GO


What’d we think?  Gracious and very bashful?  Overly attributive to men in uniform? Or not attributive enough? (It did remind me a smidge of Demi Moore circa A Few Good Men. “Because they stand upon a wall and say, ‘Nothing’s going to hurt you tonight. Not on my watch.’”)

Our take: Considering this is a director who has produced some of the greatest action sequences ever, this was kinda meh.

I’m sorry, but I have no idea who Elizabeth Banks is. And they introduced her like she was going to be Sophia Loren or something.
