Emma Stydahar and Carina Cruz, the teenagers behind the campaign to get teen magazines to show more “real girls,” say their meeting with the editor and a public-relations representative at Teen Vogue was a wash.
This week’s issue has a huge feature on the best high schools in America, which includes an article on teen’s today (tl;dr: they text a lot, but are still just teenagers). The photo on the left ran with the story, as a subtle homage to a classic Newsweek cover from the ’60s. Pretty cool, huh?
I’m not sure why I’m so fascinated by this cover from mid-sixties Newsweek about teenagers, but I am.
OMG: The Teens! This has apparently been sitting in our drafts for about 8 months now. Hot.
